Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
- Full papers Must present between a minimum of 3000 and a maximum of 5000 words.
- Posters Must present an abstract with the minimum of 500 words.
List of Topics
Papers, posters and workshops are organised (but not limited) to the following themes:

TYPE DESIGN: Forms, processes, and contexts in typeface design. The role and influence of technologies (analog or digital, production or distribution) in current typefaces.

CALLIGRAPHY AND LETTERING: Tradition and contemporaneity in two areas so close to typography: calligraphy and lettering. What has been done, what is done and visions of what may be done tomorrow.

TYPOGRAPHY AND GRAPHIC DESIGN: Relevant typographic applications in the areas of Communication, Branding, Marketing and Visual Identity. The impact on the perception of organizations, events or individuals, through the creation of typographic-based projects. The role of typography in the development and perception of different editorial projects, such as books, magazines and newspapers.

HISTORY AND RESEARCH: The evolution of technologies and the social impact they cause in typography practice and the design of type. Critical reviews and original practical or theoretical research.

EDUCATION: The changes of perception about this discipline. The way learning and teaching have played a role of change, depending on the time, place and social context.
