5thSNSIR5.0: 5th Student National Symposium Hybrid SNSIR5.0 UTAS-Muscat Auditorium Muscat, Oman, May 1-2, 2024

University of Technology & Applied Sciences (UTAS) is a renowned technological provider institution of the Sultanate of Oman that believes on the power of research and innovation in order to sustain the national development and would contribute in the fulfillment of the Oman Vision 2040. The University of Technology & Applied Sciences, in collaboration with its stakeholders, empowers the 21st century students to collaboratively use their creative and innovative minds to think of any conceivable ways to optimize technological advancements and exploit the disruptive technologies in the IR4.0 era. All students of the various Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Oman are encouraged to participate during the 5th Student National Symposium hosted and organized by the UTAS- College of Computing and Information Science-Muscat on 1st & 2nd May 2024. This symposium is a student-led event where students shine to reveal their remarkable capabilities in research and innovation. Living at the midst of the IR4.0 era, the students are definitely the champions to revolutionize its technological advancements. Thus, this symposium is an open avenue among all students from both public and private higher education institutions across Oman to submit their research papers for presentation at the symposium. Moreover, this is a very good opportunity to exchange brilliant research ideas, techniques and approaches, state-of-the-art tools, research project development, and the like among the participants. This is also a very good chance to listen and meet expert personalities from the multidisciplinary fields. All presenters shall receive Certificates as well as those who exemplify best paper presentations.

Submission Guidelines

All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:

• Abstract Submission 

  kindly submit the abstract (300 words) of your research paper via email to technical.symposium@hct.edu.om. You can submit your abstract through online (guidelines) on or before May 5, 2024. The abstract review committee will provide you the feedback via online.This will help you to start writing the full paper and the selected full papers will be published via IJICSE Journal.Paper presentation is mandatory for the consideration of your paper for further peer-reviews and publication thereafter.

Full Paper Submission 

• Student Authors can start writing the paper and submit the Full Paper through the Easy Chair Submission. on or before 20 April 2024.
• Authors should submit a paper in English, carefully checked for correct grammar and spelling, addressing one or several of the symposium topics.
• Papers must be formatted as per the Paper Template and submit as the DOC file. Papers are limited to 12 pages including tables, figures, appendices, references etc.
• We cannot accept paper with less than 8 pages. Paper between 8 and 12 pages are highly recommended to show the proper result
• All submissions must be blind. Authors should not specify their names and affiliations in the paper.
• The manuscript (paper) should be jointly approved by all authors involved in the work and implicitly or explicitly by the responsible authorities where the work was carried out.
• Only original papers should be submitted. Papers that contain any form of plagiarism will be rejected without reviews. (see plagiarism policy)
• Submission of an article implies that the work described has not been published previously or that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
• All papers must be submitted through our submission system and should be prepared as per the template.
• After the submission deadline, the authors are not allowed to make changes in the paper title, abstract, authorship and actual paper.
• If your paper is accepted, it should not be published elsewhere in the same form, in English or in any other language, including electronically without the written consent of the copyright holder.

Poster Submission 

Interested students can submit a POSTER in a technical area related to the symposium topics or based on your research paper. It could be your previous academic projects also.

Publication

The selected papers after complete modification and revision will be considered for publishing in the IJICSE Journal (May 2024 - Volume 5 Issue 5). Once you modify the paper as per the reviewer comments, your paper will be considered for the publication in the IJICSE Journal. The relevance of your paper content, quality in writing and the quality of the result presented etc are the factors considering in IJICSE Journal .
