We are pleased to invite participants to the 4th International Research Colloquium towards Disaster Risk Transfer (4IRC-DRT) entitled “Challenges and Opportunities for Local Communities and Small-Scale Entrepreneurs” with the theme of Inclusive Investment in Leveling the Business Organizations, to be held on Saturday to Sunday, November 9-10, 2019 at the Quezon City Experience (QCX) Theater, Quezon City Circle, Quezon City, Philippines. The event is organized by Philippine School Business Administration - Manila and co-organized by University of the Philippines School of Urban and Regional Planning (UP-SURP); Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Marikina, Marikina City, Philippines; and the University of the Philippines Planning and Research Foundation, Inc. (PLANADES).The annual Fourth International Research Colloquium towards Disaster Risk Transfer (4th IRC-DRT) of the Philippine School of Business Administration-Manila (PSBA-Manila) continues its mission from the School’s prior Symposia and Colloquia where the school’s research fellows, students, and experts from various local and international institution have gathered to contribute their knowledge in this particular platform. Particularly, it will disseminate with a focus on the challenges and opportunities of local communities and small-scale entrepreneurs in the midst of inclusive investment in the Philippine market and economic setting.
Call for Abstracts
We are also inviting interested researchers, technical experts, and resource persons to participate as Resource Speakers to present in this event. Topics can be related to any of the following themes:

- Children and Women issues in Urban and Rural Planning and Management
Interested Resource Speakers should submit their abstracts through the Call for Abstracts form.
The outcome of the Research Colloquium will be published as Proceedings containing Resource Speakers’ presentations and Abstracts of all accepted papers that will be presented in the Colloquium.
Further, selected papers will be published in the form of book and peer reviewed International journal such as Elsveir or Springer.
Abstract Guidelines
- Abstracts must be submitted through the Call for Abstracts form in EasyChair.
- Abstract should contain the title of the paper; thematic area (under keywords); the name(s), institutional affiliations of the author(s) and contact details.
- All abstracts must be submitted and presented in English.
- Abstract text must not exceed 300 words.
Extended deadline for Abstract Submission is October 30, 2019.
We will contact the corresponding author if your Abstract is accepted shortly after. Accepted abstracts must register by October 30, 2019 so that they can be part of the program and abstract book. Otherwise, waitlisted participants who are accepted as poster presentations will be given chance for oral presentation during the Colloquium.
International participants who will be requiring visa documentation will receive their acceptance letter earlier. Thus, international participants must be registered by as soon as they receive their acceptance letter. Official invitation letter for Visa application requirements will be given after registration. Note that Visa registration can take up to 1 month; it is recommended to contact your local Philippine consular office for Visa requirements prior to submission and registration.
The corresponding author is responsible for informing other authors about the status of the abstract. Once your presentation is accepted, you must Register to the Colloquium.
