Abstract registration deadline | May 31, 2020 |
Submission deadline | May 31, 2020 |
The ACAIN 2020 is aimed at AI experts, neuroscientists and both at AI experts with interests in Neuroscience and at neuroscientists with an interest in AI. ACAIN 2020 will be a special opportunity to hear about cutting-edge research by leading scientists in AI and Neuroscience.
The two days of keynote talks and oral presentations (the Symposium, 1-2 October) will be preceded by lectures of leading scientists (the Course, 28-30 September) for students and newcomers to this interdisciplinary field.
With the current exploding interest in AI and Neuroscience, the ACAIN Symposium will provide an exciting forum to present and hear about cutting-edge research in AI and Neuroscience.
We invite the submission of technical papers for the main technical track of the conference. Submissions should be significant and original on all aspects of Artificial Intelligence and Neuroscience. We especially encourage papers on interdisciplinary applications of AI and Neuroscience.
The Symposium welcomes papers on broad aspects of AI and/or Neuroscience that constitute advances in the overall field including, but not limited to, explainable AI, cognition and AI, automated reasoning and inference, case-based reasoning, commonsense reasoning, computational cognitive science, generative adversarial networks, computer vision, computational neuroscience, constraint processing, ethical AI, heuristic search, human interfaces, intelligent robotics, knowledge representation, machine learning, multi-agent systems, deep learning, natural language processing, planning and action, and reasoning under uncertainty. The Symposium accepts results achieved in addition to proposals for new ways of looking at AI and Neuroscience problems, both of which must include demonstrations of value and effectiveness.
Papers describing applications of AI are also welcome, but the focus should be on how new and novel AI methods advance performance in application areas. Papers on applications should describe a principled solution, emphasize its novelty, and present an indepth evaluation of the AI techniques being exploited.
The Symposium will also consider summary papers that describe challenges and competitions from various areas of AI and Neuroscience. Such papers should motivate and describe the competition design as well as report and interpret competition results, with an emphasis on insights that are of value beyond the competition (series) itself.
Important Dates (ACAIN Symposium):
Paper submission deadline: May 31, 2020 (Anywhere on Earth)
Paper notification: July 15, 2020
Submission site: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=acain2020
Submission Guidelines
When submitting a paper to ACAIN 2020, authors are required to select one of the following four types of papers:
- long paper: original novel and unpublished work (max. 12 pages);
- short paper: an extended abstract of novel work (max. 4 pages);
- work for oral presentation only (no page restriction; any format). For example, work already published elsewhere, which is relevant and which may solicit fruitful discussion at the conference;
- abstract for poster presentation only (max 2 pages; any format). The poster format for the presentation is A0 (118.9 cm high and 84.1 cm wide, respectively 46.8 x 33.1 inch). For research work which is relevant and which may solicit fruitful discussion at the conference.
We expect high-quality papers in terms of their scientific contribution, rigor, correctness, quality of presentation and reproducibility of experiments.Accepted papers must contain significant novel results. Results can be either theoretical or empirical. Results will be judged on the degree to which they have been objectively established and/or their potential for scientific and technological impact.
