The AIC2026 Midterm Meeting will bring together researchers, educators and professionals to explore the theme “Colour and Cultural Heritage” in Florence, Italy (3-5 September 2026). Organised by the Gruppo del Colore – Associazione Italiana Colore, the conference features general sessions plus special sessions on colour photography & film, lighting heritage, and historical cities.
Submission Guidelines
Authors are invited to submit abstracts starting from 15 October until 15 December 2025 through EasyChair only if they intend to participate in the conference; Email submissions will not be accepted.
Abstracts must be in English and should not exceed 3000 characters (spaces included). Please indicate your preference for oral (circa 15 min) or short (5 min) presentation and if you wish your abstract to be considered for one of the three special sessions (for themes, see above).
All abstracts must be uploaded through EasyChair, the online conference management system:

- Authors must have or create an EasyChair account to submit their abstracts. Registration is required only once.
- To register for the first time, select “Signup for an account” on the EasyChair homepage and carefully follow the instructions.
- Please ensure that all personal information and email addresses are accurate and complete, so that conference organizers can contact you.
- If you already have an EasyChair account, use the acronym AIC2026 to access the conference portal.
- Acceptance of abstracts will be communicated early 2026.
- Final papers or extended abstracts need to be uploaded through EasyChair by 31 July 2026
- The Book of Abstracts will be available online prior to the start of the conference.
- All presented papers will be published in the conference proceedings. The final volume of the proceedings will be available online by December 2026.
- After AIC2026 the best works will be selected for publication in scientific journals specializing in color.
