Artificial Intelligence and Smart Agriculture: Technology and Applications
Edited by Utku Kose, V.B. Surya Prasath, M. Rubaiyat Hossain Mondal, Prajoy Podder, Subrato Bharati
to be published by CRC Press
Agriculture is one of the most fundamental human activities. Agriculture is the key sector for any developing country. As our farming capacity has expanded, usage of resources such as land, fertilizer, and water have grown exponentially. In order to establish digital smart agriculture, artificial intelligence (AI) can play anaggressive role. This book aims to explore applications; use of Future Internet ICTs in smart agriculture sector by Identifying and describing technical, functional and non-functional future technologies for smart farming and agriculture. This book aims to identify and discuss the smart agriculture capabilities and conceptual prototypes, demonstrating critical technological solutions including the feasibility to further develop them in large scale experimentation and validation. This book also helps to learn the integration of IoT, cloud computing, fog computing in AI driven smart agriculture system. walking the reader through the fundamental ideas with expert ease. Also, some chapters introduce and cover novel ideas about how artificial intelligence, deep learning, and machine learning have changed the world in digital agriculture and smart farming .
We cordially invite original book chapters focusing on the application of AI and its allied fields in smart agriculture including deep learning models for disease detection of plants, sensors in agriculture, development of test standards for agricultural technology, Data acquisition and handling for real-time process adjustments, application of smart devices – using IT to drive processes, efficientmachine learning regression model for rainfall prediction, determining custom fertilizer profiles based on soil chemistry using machine learning and so on.
