The importance of the conference is to enhance the international exchange of research activities and results on the acquisition of referential mechanisms and the acquisition and processing of anaphora resolution. This conference intends to give the opportunity to international researchers to meet each other and to discuss theoretical issues and to comment on empirical research. Next to this, two practical workshops for PhD-students will be organised: one on corpus annotation and the analysis of referential expressions with a corpus tool and another on the design of psycholinguistic experiments on anaphora resolution. Finally, important is also the science communication in a special issue of an international peer-reviewed journal.
