The BDA conference "Data Management - Principles, Technologies and Applications" is the annual meeting of the data management community in France.
BDA 2020 invites academic and industrial research players to submit their recent work in order to report on the challenges and scientific advances in this extremely dynamic field. The expected submissions can be part of the continuum of work ranging from the most theoretical to the most applied. They may relate to data management in the broadest sense, including emerging topics or at the interfaces of other fields such as bioinformatics, digital humanities, journalism, health, etc.
Submission Guidelines
Several categories of contributions are expected:
- Long articles (12 pages max): classic research articles
- Short articles (6 pages max): articles describing work in progress or feedback from research / industrial projects.
- Doctoral student articles (2 pages max): presentation of the thesis topic, which will be the subject of a poster presentation at the conference.
- Demonstration articles (5 pages max): presentation of a research prototype, which will be demonstrated during the conference.
The articles should be formatted according to ACM's sigconf document class, available at https://www.acm.org/publications/proceedings-template.
For each category, two types of submissions are accepted:
- Unpublished (NP): original, unpublished articles, or double submission at the time of BDA notification.
- Published (P): recent papers that have already been accepted or published in a renowned international conference and that could not have been submitted to the previous edition of BDA. This category is intended to attract the best papers from the French community and give their authors the opportunity to present their work. It is by no means a new publication. If the article is accepted, a summary of no more than two pages referencing the original publication will be included in the proceedings.
