Call for Papers
International Cross Domain Conference for Machine Learning & Knowledge Extraction (CD-MAKE 2020)
CD-MAKE is a joint effort of IFIP TC 5, IFIP WG 8.4, IFIP WG 8.9 and IFIP WG 12.9 and is held in conjunction with the 15th International Conference on Availability, Reliability and Security ARES 2020 http://www.ares-conference.eu
August 25th – August 28th, 2020, Dublin, Ireland
Machine learning is the most growing field in computer science today with enormous challenges in various applications and business domains (e.g. Health, Industry 4.0, etc.).
Successful Machine Learning needs a concerted international effort without boundaries, supporting collaborative and integrative cross-disciplinary research between experts from seven fields: ❶ data science, ❷ machine learning, ❸ network science, ❹ graphs/topology, ❺ time/entropy, ❻ data visualization, and last but not least ❼ privacy, data protection, safety and security. The ultimate goal of this conference is to bring together researchers from these diverse areas in an cross-disciplinary manner, to stimulate fresh ideas and encourage multi-disciplinary problem solving.
CONFERENCE SCOPE
Papers are sought from the seven topical areas (image above) but always with the big picture in mind and justifying how your view may contribute to an overall solution. Papers which deal with fundamental research questions and theoretical aspects in machine learning are very welcome. NOTE: This conference shall bring exclusive benefits for the participants and the presented papers shall be of archival value on the desks and benches of both scientists, industrial practitioners, teachers and students to stimulate further scientific research, practical applications and business solutions. Ideally the participants will benefit from further work on joint projects at national, European, and international level.
Motto of the conference: Science is to test crazy ideas – Engineering is to put these ideas into Business.
