The 2026 BMES CMBE Conference will take place on January 3-6, 2026, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Abstract Submission and Awards
General Submission Abstracts/Poster Abstracts
Submissions must contain the title, author names, author affiliations, and an abstract that is less than 250 words in a single pdf file. The name of the presenting author should be underlined in the abstract document. A select few general submission abstracts will be considered for podium presentations.

Graduate Student Travel Award
Eligibility: Applicants must be Graduate Students (PhD not awarded) at the time of submission. Submissions must contain the title, author names, author affiliations, and an abstract that is no more than one page in length. The inclusion of a figure demonstrating key results in the abstract is encouraged. Additionally, authors should supply a NIH or NSF-style biosketch.

Post-doctoral Researcher Travel Award
Eligibility: Applicants must be Post-doctoral researchers (PhD awarded, but not have an independent lab) at the time of submission. Submissions must contain the title, author names, author affiliations, and an abstract that is no more than one page in length. The inclusion of a figure demonstrating key results in the abstract is encouraged. Additionally, authors should supply a NIH or NSF-style biosketch.

Rising Star Award for Junior Faculty
Eligibility: Applicants must have had an independent lab for less than 6 years at the time of submission. Rising star award submissions must contain the title, author names, author affiliations, and an abstract that is no more than one page in length. The inclusion of a figure demonstrating key results in the abstract is encouraged. Additionally, authors should supply a NIH or NSF-style biosketch.
