The extent of integration of the cyber systems with the existing physical systems such as industrial plants, manufacturing plants, vehicles and transportation, healthcare devices, residential and commercial infrastructure and consumer products is feasible by meticulous modeling, design and simulation and implementation of cyber physical systems. This book addresses the first part, namely the modeling and simulation part of design and implementation of cyber-physical systems. The book will explore different methodologies of modeling and simulation for designing different cyber-physical systems at component, subsystem, system and super-system levels across different industry sectors. The book will explore how one can design and simulate the integration of new technologies such as AI/ML/DL, Cybersecurity, Big data, Cloud computing, Semantic Web, AIoT, IoT, IIoT, 5G network, AR/VR, Digital twins,Industry 4.0 framework with the traditional engineering systems to build capable cyber-physical systems. The book will provide case-study approach such as how a specific cyber-physical system was built as well as tutorial articles thus giving the reader both the flavours of basics of building cyber physical models as well as advanced topics.
