Welcome to the official website of the 12th National Congress on Experimental Mechanics (CNME2020).
The 12th National Congress on Experimental Mechanics (CNME2020) will take place at Palace Hotel Monte Real, in Monte Real, Leiria (Portugal), between September 29 and October 1 of 2021 (CNME2020 was postponed to March 2021 due to covid-19). The first National Congress on Experimental Mechanics took place in 1986. Since then CNME events have focused on Experimental Mechanics and its applications in the development of new materials, structural integrity and design in different areas of engineering. Therefore, CNME2020 pretends to be an open forum for the scientific community engaged in the work and research in various areas of Experimental Mechanics, to discuss and share the developed research.
Experimental Mechanics is an area of knowledge essential for scientific and technological development in various fields, including mechanical engineering, civil and structural engineering, materials engineering, automotive, railway and aerospace engineering, biomedical engineering, environmental engineering and nuclear engineering.
CNME2020 is thus intended to be a forum for discussion and collaboration among researchers from various areas of Experimental Mechanics, promoting partnerships and research projects of common interest. In addition, the CNME seeks to encourage the participation of students in order to promote growth and intervention of Experimental Mechanics in Portugal and across borders.
Following the CNME2018 held in the beautiful city of Porto, in 2021 the 12th National Congress on Experimental Mechanics will take place on March 3, 4 and 5, at Palace Hotel Monte Real. Monte Real is a small village, 15 km away from Leiria. The CNME2020 organized by the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, under the aegis of the Portuguese Experimental Stress Analysis Association (APAET), will seek to follow the beautiful and long history of Experimental Mechanics in Portugal.
We are expecting you,
The organizing committee.
