Proceedings of ICT COST Action IC1405 on Reversible Computation - Extending Horizons of Computing
Editors: Carla Ferreira, Ulrik Pagh Schultz, Irek Ulidowski, Ivan Lanese
Call for contributions
The proceedings of ICT COST Action IC1405 on Reversible Computation - Extending Horizons of Computing will report on the work done within the Action period. Submissions are solicited from each of the four Workings Groups (WG) of COST Action IC1405, to report what technical work has been done by WGs 1-3 and to report on the case studies of WG 4. Submissions are expected to be in the form of surveys, overview papers, reports of research done during the Action period (potentially including future, planned research), and case study reports. Therefore, submissions are in general not expected to contain significant amount of new material. As discussed at the September 2018 COST meeting in Leicester, the resulting volume is expected to have the following structure: WG1 will contribute 1 overview paper; WG2 will contribute 1 or 2 overview papers; WG3 will contribute 2 or 3 overview papers; WG4 will contribute 1 paper per case study (to a maximum of 8 papers).
Submission Guidelines
The submission process will be in two stages: (1) Submission of a two-page abstract describing the paper’s title, a short description of its contents, the expected number of pages, and the authors. (2) Submission of a full paper, expected to be 15-20 pages in length, with some flexibility depending on the number of submissions from the given working group. For the first stage, each submission will be evaluated by leaders of the corresponding WGs, based on reviews solicited from WG members and relevant members of the scientific community. The editors will be responsible for final acceptance decisions, based on discussions at the March 2019 COST meeting in Malta. A strict procedure will be followed to exclude editors and WG leaders from conflicts of interest in evaluating submissions. For the second stage, a review policy is currently being defined based on Springer guidelines, and will be available before the second stage deadline.
Important dates:
- Feb 28 2019: Two-page abstract.
- June 30 2019: Full submission (the deadline was changed after discussions during Malta's meeting).
