The Third Annual Future of Learning 2020 Conference
Learning to Learn, Unlearn and Relearn:
Flourishing in the Age of Disruptions and Innovation
The future of learning Conference (FoL2020) is the third annual conference that aims to bring together academic leaders, policymakers, industry professionals, and technologists to provoke thought, showcase innovation and share knowledge along three paradigms of the future of learning: Learning to Learn, Unlearn and Relearn.
The massive technology-led disruptions in the educational sector are compelling both individuals and institutions to respond adaptively. Traditional approaches to education, itself a legacy of the industrial revolution, is no longer relevant in a global, massively networked, hypercompetitive world. For instance, there is much uncertainty and ambiguity around the future of work with the emergence of technologies like Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence, and Internet of Things and Big data management tools. These, in turn, have facilitated the emergence of new pedagogies in learning using adaptive learning, personalised learning and a host of new pedagogical approaches. Simultaneously, the skillsets for effectively meeting the workplace challenges of the future have also evolved with the advances in AI, ML and automation change job requirements. In short, education and institutions that deliver the skillsets need a re-architecting. As many have pointed out, Learnability is the new skill that will now drive excellence in both individuals and institutions.
