The Springer - Second International Conference of Forthcoming Networks and Sustainability in the IoT Era (FoNeS-IoT 2022) is organized by Artificial Intelligence Engineering Department, Research Center for AI and IoT, Near East University, Northern Cyprus. It aims to bring together researchers and professionals to exchange ideas on the advancements in technology, application areas for advanced communication systems and development of new services, facilitate a tremendous growth of new devices and smart things that need to be connected to the Internet through a variety of wireless technologies. Parallel to this, new capabilities such as pervasive sensing, multimedia sensing, machine learning, deep learning, unmanned aerial vehicles, cloud and edge computing, energy efficiency/harvesting and computing power opens the way to new domains, services and business models beyond the traditional mobile Internet. The new areas in turn come with various requirements in terms of reliability, quality of service, and energy efficiency. These are only some examples of the challenges that are of interest to researchers in Forthcoming Networks and Sustainability in the IoT Era (FoNeS-IoT). It will explore the latest developments, innovations and best practices within the IoT and the impact it has on industries including: manufacturing, transport, supply chain, communication, government, legal sectors, financial services, energy utilities, insurance, healthcare, retail and many others
Submission Guidelines
English is the official language of the FoNeS-IoT 2022. It shall be used for all printed materials, presentations, and discussions. The submitted publication should contain original materials which have not been previously published and are not under review elsewhere.
The final version of a paper must be 10-15 pages and be prepared according to the guidelines defined in Conference Template. The paper should be submitted in DOC, DOCX, or PDF formats (in English only).
An extra fee will be charged for each additional page above 15 pages. Papers should be submitted online via EasyChair system.
The submitted publication should define the scope of the paper, emphasizing new advances, theories and/or applications and include an analysis of results.
After notification of paper acceptance, it is a requirement that at least the one presenting author of every accepted paper must get registered, pay a participation fee, and take part in the conference.
Springer - FoNeS-IoT 2022 will have a single-round blind peer review process. All submitted papers will be sent to at least two independent anonymous reviewers. All accepted papers which will be presented at the conference will be included in FoNeS-IoT Conference Proceedings.
“No-show” papers won’t be included in the FoNeS-IoT Conference Proceedings.
Ethics and Permissions: The results of the research presented in the manuscript, should be original. However, if figures, tables, animations or text quotations from copyrighted works (including websites) are included in the paper, permission must be obtained from the copyright holder (usually the original publisher) and the author(s) for both the print and the online format.
Avoidance of Self-plagiarism: A certain overlap in scientific content between articles by the same author is standard practice and to be expected. However, it is essential that transparency is retained and appropriate references included. Permission must be obtained from other publishers, where appropriate.
