In light of the covid19 pandemic and the uncertainty that comes with it, we want to assure that our organizing committee is monitoring the situation closely. Moreover, we are exploring the feasibility of alternative conference formats, although it is our hope that this health crisis will be averted well before August 2020.

The Ontario Veterinary College and the Ontario Agricultural College are proud to be hosting the first Global Animal Nutrition Summit, August 11-15, 2020 at the University of Guelph. We are honoured to bring together eight international animal nutrition organizations for the first time, with the goal of creating an inclusive global venue for veterinary, animal and comparative nutritionists to discuss animal nutrition research. A 3-day summit; August 12-14, 2020; entitled “What Does the Future Hold for Feeding Animals?”, will showcase important and fascinating topics through thought-provoking discussions from our five invited speakers: Dr. Evan Fraser, Dr. Mary Beth Hall, Dr. Benjamin Bohrer, Dr. Thomas Wolever, and Dr. Angelo Tremblay.
Submission Guidelines
We would like to invite you to present your work at the conference. There are two options for abstract submission: a mini-review for oral presentation or original research for poster presentation.
For the preparation of the abstract, you need to provide a title, the authors list, the affiliation of the authors, the presentation type, and the abstract. The title must be in Times New Roman font (bold, size 12) and contain up to 30 words. For the authors list, you also should use Times New Roman (font size 12) and we ask you to underline the name of the presenting author. For the authors affiliation, please provide an email from the corresponding author. In case some participants have follow up questions, the corresponding author should have his/her own superscript and affiliation information on a separate line to avoid confusion. For the presentation type, please select oral presentation if you are submitting a mini-review and poster presentation if you are presenting original research. Finally, the abstract should contain up to 500 words and be written in Times New Roman (font size 12). We ask the participants to follow the formatting style to facilitate the creation of the proceedings.
Now, a little more information about the two presentations. Mini-review oral presentation will be 30 min long, divided into two portions: 25 min to present your work and 5 min for questions from the audience. Poster presentations will be 10 min long, divided into 7 min to present your work and 3 min for questions. The poster itself should be 36 inches tall (91.4 cm) and 48 inches long (121.9 cm).
