The focus of GTM2021 is to engage cross-disciplinary networks of analysts, software specialists, researchers, and managers to address tech-mining challenges and advance text-data-driven solutions for ST&I management. TechMining, text oriented form of “Big Data” analytics, aims to generate practical intelligence using bibliometric and text-mining software (e.g., Derwent Data Analyzer (DDA), VantagePoint) as well as other analytical & visualization applications for analyses of Science, Technology & Innovation (ST&I) information to support decision making in ST&I management – e.g., competitive technical intelligence, R&D management, research evaluation, and triple helix analysis.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
- Panel Session. Panels provide a multi-perspective presentation on an issue facing the field of tech mining. Presenters will offer coordinated oral presentations and accept questions from the audience.
- Oral Presentation. Oral presentations (15 minutes + questions) addressing well-advanced research.
- Power Talk. A power talk consists of an abbreviated oral presentation (5 minutes, 4 PowerPoint slides). The objective is to deliver a lively, concise description of your research and its impacts. Power talk presenters are also invited to present a poster at the evening’s Poster Session/Reception if desired.
