Technological breakthroughs like high-throughput and single-cell sequencing are transforming life sciences and public health, generating unprecedented volumes of complex biological and medical data. Using this wealth of data to advance fundamental biological knowledge and significantly improve human health requires the continuous development of novel computational models and advanced analysis algorithms.
The International Conference on Computational Advances in Bio and Medical Sciences (ICCABS) serves as a premier international forum in bioinformatics and computational biology. We bring together leading academic researchers to present, exchange ideas, and discuss the latest, most impactful computational advances that are driving the next generation of bio and medical science.
Topics of Interest
Submissions are invited across the full spectrum of Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, and Health Informatics. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
- Algorithms, Methods, and Data Infrastructure for Biomedical Sciences:
- AI and machine learning methods, big data analytics, image processing, literature mining, databases and ontologies, data integration, high performance computing
- Biological Systems and Modeling:
- Biological modeling and simulation, molecular evolution and phylogenetics, sequence analysis, population genomics, structural bioinformatics, gene regulation, systems biology
- Translational, Clinical, and Population Informatics:
- Gene expression and multi-omics, comparative genomics, genomic epidemiology, immunoinformatics, metagenomics, microbial and viral genomics.
Submission Guidelines
Authors are invited to electronically submit proposed abstracts to one of the three available tracks in EasyChair: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=iccabs2026.
Track 1: Extended abstracts to be published in Springer Lecture Notes in Bioinformatics. Submissions should be prepared using the Springer LNBI templates and guidelines, and should not exceed 12 pages in LNCS/LNBI format. Selected submissions will be invited to special issues of the Journal of Computational Biology (JCB) or Transactions on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics (TCBB) dedicated to the conference. Submissions should be prepared in PDF format.
Track 2: Posters. Submissions should not exceed 2 pages.
Track 3: Highlight talks. Submissions may include previously published or currently submitted results. Submissions should not exceed 2 pages.
A limited number of student awards will be made to cover registration fees (conditional upon NSF support).
