SCOPE
Today’s world faces many scientific, economic, societal, climatic, and environmental challenges that require sustainable technological and engineering solutions. In developed countries, advancements in sciences and technology provide fundamental means of tackling these challenges. However, in less developed countries, e.g., in Africa, these challenges are often insurmountable due to the lack of basic premises of sciences, research, and development. With the African continent having the youngest population, the world organizations on human welfare report that these challenges are exacerbated by the rapid growth of the population and a surge of the youth in urban communities. This situation leads to tremendous demands on services at all levels with subsequent impacts on the requirements of infrastructure, including energy production, civil engineering, communication, transportation, manufacturing, etc. Therefore, new and emerging strategies from all aspects of human activities, including scientists, engineers, and other key decision-makers are required to address these complex challenges cutting across several domains to meet the present and future demands of the population in Africa.
The 2nd International Conference on Engineering, Applied Sciences and System Modeling (ICEASSM’2019) will be held on December 11-14, 2019, in Sunyani, Ghana. It is organized in partnership with the University of Lorraine and the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR). The conference aims to bring together researchers, engineers, and practitioners with interests in advancing applied and engineering sciences in modeling to exchange their experiences and expertise in solving these global challenges.
ICEASSM’2019 is sponsored by the “International Organization for Science and Engineering in Africa” (IOSEA). It offers the opportunities to researchers, engineers, experts, and enterprise managers to bring innovative ideas in tackling global changes from various angles, to explore potential synergies and foster cooperative research grants applications and business partnership.
