Technical Tour
A half day tour to Sarawak Government’s BioValley Park Project at Curtin Malaysia campus that is expected to give a significant boost to research and development and knowledge accumulation in Sarawak to meet the state’s technological needs, particularly in relation to the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE). The RM 60 million worth BioValley Park Pilot Plant is the first of its kind in Sarawak that supports the development of new bio-products and processes and provides pilot plant facilities to assist petrochemical and biotechnology industries in phytochemical and bioprocesses that include high quality testing and development facilities for bio-industries in product analysis, product enhancement and quality assurance.
Workshop
A half-day Welding Technology Course for practising engineers and technical managers as well as those specifically interested in keep abreast with the current welding technology and wishing to gain some knowledge on how a welding procedure specification (WPS) through WPQT (welding procedure qualification test) and a skill welder through welder qualification test (WQT) being qualified and certified accordingly in the Oil and Gas Industry. Furthermore, using the current effective non-destructive/inspection techniques as quality control tools can be applied to ascertain that quality welds are consistently produced/maintained. Through this ½ day course, technical managers and practising engineers who intend to gain an appreciation on managing WPS/WQT can be realised, and thus to broaden their technical knowledge on welding technology relating to maintenance, inspection, alteration and repair of in service metallic systems in order to avoid unplanned shutdown and reduce expenses. Essentially they can make a sound decision on the acceptance of WPS/WQT during welding production and metallic fabrication work.
Exhibition
The conference include a showcase of latest technology, equipments and services from international organizations, management consultants, business deleates and equipment manufacturers, that serves as a strategic platform to forge business partnerships and explore future prospects.
