Tentative Book Title: Innovation in Geotechnical Engineering: Tools, Techniques and Methods
This Book will contain contributions by eminent researchers in the field of geotechnical engineering. It highlights new techniques and trends in the Geotechnical engineering field including soil stabilization techniques and sustainable materials, stabilization of slopes, designing of earth retaining structures and different software used for designing and analysis work in geotechnical engineering. The content of the book will be useful for researchers, engineers and academicians to understand the trends and approaches used for different problems related to the geotechnical field. This volume will also be a useful guide for beginners and intermediate-level practitioners dealing with geotechnical construction projects or who have an interest in the development and practical application of designing or soil improvement techniques.
Topics covered in this volume include contemporary infrastructural challenges, underground space utilization, sustainable construction, dealing with problematic soils and situations and geo-environmental issues including landfills, liners and barrier systems, use of recycled and waste materials, waste management and hazard assessment, sustainable infrastructure, and sustainability and the environment. This book will be of interest to researchers, practitioners and students alike who are working in this immense field of soil
