About Workshop
Transforming the developed and developing economies to attain the United Nations’ sustainable development goal (SDGs) is a significant challenge and will require integrated actions exchange of ideas between academic and industry. However, the volume of data in the world is increasing exponentially. According to UN Global Pulse (2012), the amount of available digital data at the global level increased from 150 Exabytes in 2005 to 1200 Exabytes in 2010 and it is projected to grow by 40% annually in the next few years, which is about 40 times the world’s population. This new trend has created the need for exploring ways that can harness the power of data to achieve the SDGs. Therefore, Kenya Norway Mobility (KENOMO) Group cordially invites you to participate in the international workshop on Block Chain and Data Science (IWBD) Scheduled on 17-21 Feb 2020 in Kenya School of Monetary Studies, Nairobi-Kenya. The Workshop aims at bring together students, researchers and practitioners to present their latest achievements and innovations in the areas of Blockchain and Data Science.
