The 5th International Conferences of Indonesian Society for Remote Sensing (ICOIRS) and Indonesian Society for Remote Sensing Congress will be held at Bandung on September 17 – 20, 2019. The Conference is organized by collaboration of Indonesian Society for Remote Sensing (ISRS/MAPIN), Institut Teknologi Nasional (ITENAS), Center for Remote Sensing Institut Teknologi Bandung, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia and Universitas Winaya Mukti and supported by Ministry of Researh, Technology and Higher Education, Geospatial Information Agency (BIG), Indonesian National Institute of Aeronautics and Space (LAPAN), Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT), The Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) and Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG).
The event will bring together researchers, policy makers, and practitioners from developed and developing countries to share insights into the challenges and opportunities of remote sensing technology and its application in solving the problems of Indonesia especially and South East Asia countries. It will showcase cutting-edge research from around South East Asia, focusing on themes of equity and risk, learning, capacity building, methodology, and possibly investment approaches in remote sensing. It will explore practical adaptation policies and approaches, and share strategies for decision making to support global cooperation for conserving the earth and for a better human life.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. To facilitate the submission process and the subsequent follow up process, please consider the following guidelines, information, tips, terms and deadlines mentioned.
Abstract Structure
- The maximum word limit for the abstract is 250 words.
- Please download the abstract template and follow the format carefully.
- Your submission should be submitted in English.
- We encourage you to send informative abstract (complete abstract) which is a compendious summary of a paper’s substance including its background, purpose, methodology, results, and conclusion.
Full Papers Submission
- All authors with accepted abstracts at ICOIRS 2019 are invited to submit a full paper of their paper for the conference proceedings before August 16, 2019.
- The full papers should be written in English, and should be prepared with the following conference templates.
- Please ensure that your paper does not contain grammatical and language errors.
- All third party work included in your paper should be properly acknowledged with referencing.
- It is best to start writing your paper by entering the text into the template, to make sure that all formatting is correct.
- The information on page layout and formatting can be found in the templates.
- The full papers should be submitted as a MS Word document in .doc or .docx format (not as a PDF format) with other supporting documents as requested in call for paper email.

Peer Reviewing Process
- Your abstract will undergo a peer review by the scientific committee within two to three weeks after its receipt.
- Results of the abstract review will be sent to the author within two weeks of submission.
- The Conference Chair serves as the head of the scientific committee and will take the final decision on abstracts.
- Acceptance or rejections of the paper will be sent to you with reviewer comments.
- If revision is required, the revised abstract must be sent back within a week.
- If your abstract is accepted, you will be invited to register for The 5th International Conferences of Indonesian Society for Remote Sensing - (ICOIRS 2019).
