The 2020 USCToMM Symposium on Mechanical Systems and Robotics (2020 USCToMM MSR Symposium) will be held Thursday through Saturday, May 14-16, 2020, at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology. The 2020 USCToMM Annual General Meeting will be held during the Symposium. Financial support is available through the IFToMM Young Delegates Program to assist early career and student researchers wishing to present their work at the symposium (for more information see the symposium's website).
The symposium is designed to foster meaningful interactions and collaborations: single track, peer-reviewed papers, 20-minute presentations plus 10 minutes for Q & A allowing for substantial discussions, and a social program that fosters networking and collaborations among attendees including a Friday evening conference dinner at Mount Rushmore National Memorial in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. Papers should be submitted online through the paper management platform as PDF unsecured files formatted according to the Author Guidelines.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. Papers may not exceed 10 pages in length. The following paper categories are welcome:
- Full papers describing novel research contributions in all areas of mechanical systems and robotics.

Submissions and Proceedings Publication
MSR 2020 proceedings will be published by Springer in the Mechanism and Machine Science book series. All accepted papers will be indexed in Scopus, Ei Compendex and Web of Science.
Full papers should be submitted as an unsecured PDF file formatted according to the USCToMM LaTeX class and template (available for download here). Full papers should not exceed 10 pages. All communications with the corresponding authors of each paper will be conducted by email or through the online submission system. Each corresponding author submitting a full paper will be requested to produce at least two reviews per paper submitted and at least one author is expected to register and present the paper at the symposium.
