The 11th National Conference on Research in Teacher Education (NCRTE) invites researches from scholars, practitioners, and students for an important national conference, which will be held on 24-26 October 2019, University of the Philippines Diliman College of Education (UPCEd). This year’s theme, “Educational Reforms: Reflecting on the Past, Exploring Dynamic Solutions, and Forging New Horizons”, highlights the role of educational reforms in shaping the environment of Philippine education system. Papers may be submitted for the following strands:
- Trends and Innovations in Assessment
- Action Research
- Educational Evaluation
- Child Protection
- Career Education
- Mental Health
- Teacher Education and Training
- Teaching, Learning, and Technology
- ICT in School Administration
- Instructional Leadership and School Performance
- Educational Leadership and Policy
- Professional and Organizational Development
Since 1997, NCRTE is organized by the UPCEd Division of Educational Leadership and Professional Services (DELPS) and has become a relevant venue for academic discussions among its participants. Papers may be submitted for the following presentation formats:
- Research presentations
- Symposium
- Roundtable discussion
- Pecha Kucha sessions
- Posters
- Workshops
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
- Research presentations (RP)
- reports of empirical investigations; or
- reports that are not based on empirical research including:
- a theoretical discussion;
- a position paper;
- a report of scholarly enquiry in progress;
- a literature review, a meta-study;
- an account of a new initiative;
- a reflective critique of practice; or
- any mixture of these or other recognised scholarly forms.
- Symposia (SYMP)
- presentation of no more than four papers (empirical or non-empirical) related by theme
- Roundtable discussion (RTD)/Posters (PSTR)
- reports that are based on works in preliminary stages, reports of pilot projects, initial interviews of literature, ideas or suggestions for future study, and briefer discussions of particular issues
- Pecha Kucha (PK)
- a presentation style in which 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds each, which keeps presentations concise and fast-paced.
- a great way to pitch your research ideas for feedback and potential collaborators
- Workshops (WRK)
