PGMO, the Gaspard Monge Program for optimization and Operations research and their interactions with data sciences, is a program of Fondation Mathematique Jacques Hadamard,
supported by EDF, Orange and Thales. The PGMODAYS 2019 are the 8th annual conference of the program. Plenary lectures, together with the ceremony of the PGMO PhD prize, under the scientific patronage of ROADEF and SMAI-MODE, are scheduled on the first day. The second day is dedicated to invited and contributed talks, on all aspects of optimization, operations researchs, and their interfaces, especially with data sciences.
Submission Guidelines
Submissions on all aspects of optimization and operations research, theoretical or applied, and their interfaces with data sciences, are welcome.
The leaders of PGMO projects are especially encouraged to propose presentations on the topics of their project.
Abstracts of at most one page should be submitted, using the template.
Invited sessions on selected topics are also welcome. An invited session
consists of one or two blocks. One block consists of 3 talks, of 30
minutes each. The speakers in a given invited session should be of
sufficiently diverse origins. A small number of tutorial sessions
(1h30) on advanced topics may also be organized. Such sessions will be
scheduled in parallel with ordinary or invited sessions.
Should you wish to organize an invited or tutorial session,
please contact as soon as possible the coordination team:
pgmodays-coordination@fondation-hadamard.fr
The speakers participating to an invited or tutorial session
will have to submit an abstract, following the general procedure.
List of Topics
- continuous optimization (convex and non-convex, non-smooth...)
- optimization of large systems (decomposition-coordination methods,...)
- combinatorial optimization, integer or mixed programming
- optimization under uncertainty (stochastic and robust optimization)
- global optimization (relaxation, approximation,semi-algebraic programing, stochastic algorithms...)
- optimal control
- PDE aspects of optimization (shape optimization, optimal transport, ...)
- game theory
- interfaces of optimization and data sciences, including statistical learning
- related fields : risk management, uncertainties analysis
