Robotics Research for Tomorrow's Technology (R2T2) webinar 2021 will be the first event organised by the Autonomous Robotics Research Centre (ARRC) of Technology Innovation Institute (TII) to foster discussion on the latest research in the field of robotics. Leading speakers from across the globe will discuss frontline research and disruptive technologies in the field, addressing a diverse range of topics, including control and perception, communication, bio-robotics, swarm and evolutionary robotics.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
- We welcome contributions that address any aspect of the listed topics.
- Please submit long abstracts of no more than two pages, excluding bibliography.
- The submission must be written in English, with no author name(s), affiliations, acknowledgments, or any other obvious references to identify the author. The submission should include a title, a long abstract, and references.
- Submissions must follow the LaTeX \documentclass{article} template with font size 10pt. Do not modify the default font sizes or margins. The bibliography should be defined using \bibliographystyl {unsrt}.
- Our Programme Committee will review all submissions, and authors of accepted submissions will be invited to speak at the event.
- Submissions should be uploaded through EasyChair.

- Dr. Ian Akyildiz is the Ken Byers Chair Professor in Telecommunication and the Chair of the Telecommunications Group at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology (USA), and the Director of the Broadband Wireless Networking Laboratory.
- Alex Bernardino is an Associate Professor and Senior Researcher at the Institute for Systems and Robotics LISBOA, which is affiliated with the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) of the University of Lisbon (Portugal). He also is an Adjunct Coordinator of the Computer and Robot Vision (VisLab)
- Anouar Dhouibi is currently Principal Researcher at the Autonomous Robotics Research Centre, Technology Innovation Institute (UAE)
- Jorge Dias is a Professor of ECE/Robotics at Khalifa University (UAE), with research interests in the areas of computer vision and robotics. He has been contributing in the areas of computer vision and robotics since 1984 and is a Senior Member of IEEE.
- Marco Dorigo is a Research Director of FNRS (the Belgian National Funds for Scientific Research) and co-director of IRIDIA, the artificial intelligence laboratory at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium)
- Professor A.E. Eiben is a Full Professor at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where he leads the Computational Intelligence Group. He is a Visiting Professor at the University of York (UK).
- Mohamad Eid is an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at NYU Abu Dhabi (UAE).
- Yi Fang is an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at NYU Abu Dhabi (UAE).
- Prof. Giuseppe Loianno is an assistant professor at the New York University and director of the Agile Robotics and Perception Lab (https://wp.nyu.edu/arpl/) working on autonomous Micro Aerial Vehicles.
- Enrico Natalizio (Senior member IEEE) is currently a Principal Scientist with the TII. He obtained his master’s degree magna cum laude and his Ph.D in Computer Engineering at the University of Calabria (Italy) in 2000 and 2005 respectively.
- Carlo Pinciroli is an Assistant Professor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he directs the NEST Lab.
- Daniele Pucci is head of the Dynamic Interaction Control Lab at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia.
- Martin Saska is a Senior Researcher, Founder and Head of the Multi-Robot Systems Group at the Czech Technical University in Prague.
- Dr. Cesare Stefanini is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Khalifa University (UAE).
- Professor Anthony Tzes is Program Head of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at NYU Abu Dhabi (UAE).
- Claudio Zito is a Lead Scientist at the TII. Formerly, a senior researcher at the Extreme Robotics Lab and lecturer at the University of Birmingham (UoB, UK).
