Big data in Oncology: Impact, Challenges, and Risk Assessment
In the biomedical sector, access to large-scale RWD (real-world data) to promote fundamental and computational science in scientific research and growth is both a benefit and an obstacle. It is widely acknowledged that randomized, controlled experiments provide high-quality evidence on a limited patient pool, and that high-volume routinely obtained data can provide insights into the health conditions and therapeutic efficacy in a more diverse group of people. In the field of healthcare, a new era of transparent data has begun. Big data may help to solve a variety of limitations, including the difficulties of monitoring intensive care patients, predicting the efficacy of drugs, and determining the spread of epidemics. Big data may aid in the development and reshaping of disease prevention strategies. Big data may also be used to analyze existing prevention efforts and uncover new insights that can be used to enhance them. Big data has shown to be useful in oncology, and its potential in this area cannot be overstated. It may be used to monitor the efficacy of various drugs, such as oncolytic, concerning patient and tumor (genetic) traits in the clinical environment.
This book proposing emerging technology such as machine artificial intelligence, learning, deep learning. It can be offered as an elective course for graduate and postgraduate students as this is to greatly influence and impact young minds.
