During the global pandemic, of course, several sectors need to immediately adapt and plan for new innovations, especially in maintaining and developing food security. In an increasingly advanced era, technology turns out to have a large enough role and is able to facilitate activities in the field of food technology and agro-industry. One program that can play an important role for rural and urban communities as well as industry to produce superior food products sourced from local potential in food security is a food-independent Smart City. The 7th IC-FANRes 2022 aims to provide a forum for presentations and discussions on the latest and new developments in the field of food technology and agro-industry in food self-sufficiency, both for urban and rural communities to realize a food-independent smart city.
