Format and Submission Procedures
Submissions are sought in the following categories:
- Research Papers (4 pages maximum): presenting research results or research-in-progress, i.e., work in an early stage, not yet evaluated.
- Experience Reports (4 pages maximum): reflecting experiences from workshop topics.
- Position Papers (2 pages): discussing an arguable opinion about a relevant issue, such as challenges, problems, promising ideas, or visions.
- Demonstration (2 pages): demonstrating new systems in a dedicated session. Submissions must be based on an implemented and tested system that pursues one or more innovative ideas in the workshop topics.
- Journal-first (1 page): presenting research, which has recently been published in high-quality journals and is contributing to the workshop's scope. Submissions must clearly give reference to the original publication and state how it contributes to the workshop goals and scope. The original work must be included in the submission as a supplement for reviewing purposes. Please note that only the one-page summary will be published in the workshop proceedings.
All submissions must be written in English and conform to the IEEE conference template (i.e., double-column format). Submitted papers must be original, unpublished work and may not be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. The only exception to this is for the journal-first submissions, described above. Workshop paper contributions must be submitted through Easychair. The submission web page for WEE&T'2020 is: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=weet2020.For evaluating the submissions, a double-blind review will be applied. For this purpose, the papers need to be anonymized by the authors for the initial submission. For details, please consult the author checklist provided by CSEE&T 2020. Each submission will be reviewed by at least two PC members. All submissions will be judged on the basis of their originality, relevance to the workshop topics, and clarity as well as their potential to evolve the proposed approach or idea. Each accepted paper will be presented by at least one of the authors in a highly interactive format promoting discussion. Papers accepted by WEE&T will be published either in the joint CSEE&T conference proceedings published by IEEE or as a separate issue at CEUR-WS. The specific proceeding selected will depend on the number of accepted papers, as CSEE&T strictly limits the number of workshop pages in the joint conference proceedings. For inclusion in the proceedings, it is required that at least one author of each accepted paper must register for the workshop and present their contribution.
