4th Y4iT Research Summit 2019
Enjoining young researchers to join us in the 4th Y4iT research summit (YRS 2019)!
YRS 2019 aims to provide the Filipino youth a good platform for presentation and exchange of diverse ideas focused on the computing science and technologies, aspiring to contribute to the global sustainable development goals towards promoting economic growth and reducing poverty.
Nine (9) best ideas will be selected in the computing sciences and engineering that will compete for the best paper award for each category namely (1) Information Systems / Information Technology, (2) Computer Science and (3) Computer Engineering.
There will be two (stages) of judging for best paper.
First stage is the preliminary judging, wherein all abstract entries submitted will be evaluated and the top three (3) entries per category, total of nine (9) entries will be selected for oral presentations during the event proper of YRS 2019.
Second stage will have the top 9 entries to present their 10-minutes slide presentation with 5 minutes for feedback and recommendations from the panel of judges and the audience. The best paper among the 3 entries from each category will be selected as best paper by the panel of judges. The panel of judges are represented by academe, government and the industry sector.
In addition, there will be poster presentations selected from among the entries submitted that will also compete for each of the three categories aforementioned.
Best posters will be identified and awarded at the end of the research summit, along with the three (3) best paper presentations per category.
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.
What to submit for screening:
The following are the requirements for paper entries:
- Abstracts describing of the research or project concept, its relevance and limitation/s, methodology and initial results, if any (max 400 words, Arial font size 11). Abstracts should be submitted on or before Friday, 28 December 2018.
- Scanned copy of a valid ID with picture
- Endorsement letter from the head (President, Dean, IT Chairperson) of institutional affiliation
- Deadline for abstract submission is on Friday, 28 December 2018.
All entries selected for poster presentation will submit A1 size tarpaulin poster presentation, portrait orientation describing title, name of researcher/s, name of faculty adviser, name of school/institution & logo, summary of concept (relevance, limitation/s, methodology and initial results, if any).
