FIRST ANNUAL CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION ON NUCLEAR SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (ACENSTA 2020) 3-5 JUNE 2020
Objectives
- To promote nuclear science and technology for applications in various sectors
- To strengthen a network of professionals in nuclear science and technology for further opportunities,
- To provide a platform of scientists and researchers to exchange information and experiences in the field,
- To explore opportunities available in the nuclear science and technology for sustainable development,
- To broaden government and industry participation to enhance development of nuclear industry,
- To encourage private sector, industrialists and entrepreneurs to venture on the nuclear sector,
- To enhance national and International collaboration on nuclear science and technology
Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The following paper categories are welcome:
- FULL PAPERS:
- Title
- Abstract
- introduction
- Purpose/Objectives
- Methodology/Approach
- Findings/Results
- Conclusion/Implications/Recommendations
- Acknowledgements (when appropriate)
- References
- Appendices (when appropriate)
Submission of Papers and Poster Abstracts
Authors wishing to present papers/posters should submit electronically abstracts not exceeding 300 words using font size Times New Roman of 12 points, to the Secretariat through (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=nst1). Abstracts should include: title, name (s) of the author (s) and detailed address, background, objectives, summary of research methodology, results, conclusions and key policy messages. Review papers are also accepted. The deadline for submission of abstract is 15 April 2020. Abstracts not received by this date will not be included in the book of abstracts and may not be considered for oral or poster presentation. Decision of the Organizing Committee will be communicated to authors by 30 April 2020
All accepted presentations must be brought to the Conference prior to the conference opening. Organizers cannot guarantee connection for individual laptop computers. A technician will be on duty to assist you. Please submit your Power Point presentation to us on or before 20 May 2020.
Submission of Full Paper
The conference intends to produce peer reviewed proceedings that will be registered with ISSN and thus authors wishing to submit full papers for this should do so electronically as attachments to the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee by 15 May 2020 to the conference page (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=nst1)
Language
The official language of the conference is English. Oral presentations will be made in English. Oral presentations will be 20 minutes in length including discussion and questions.

- Slide Size: Widescreen 16:9. To adjust the size of your PPT please go to Design> Slide Size and select “Wide Screen (16:9)”.
- A ACENSTA PowerPoint template is mandatory to use. You can download the template here or email to conference@taec.go.tz request the template.
- 15Length: One slide per minute. Max. 20 slides for a 15 minute-presentation.
- Presentation equipment: Windows based PCs that use MS PowerPoint for presentation. If you prepare your presentation on a Mac, please bring your laptop and dongles with you. You will be able to present from your Mac.
- Videos: Upload your PPT with the videos embedded and in addition to that upload the video files.
- Font: Try to use common fonts as special fonts might not be supported by the software used for presentation at ACENSTA 2020.
- POSTERS:
Instructions for posters
- Posters will be on display for the duration of the conference. All posters should be mounted by 10:00 in the morning on June 3, 2020 and removed evening on 5 June 2020. Presenters must be at their poster during the Poster Session.
- All Posters have to be prepared in A0 format (841×1189 mm or 33.1 x 46.8 inches).
- Posters are informal presentations featuring solutions to problems and innovative projects with lessons to share. Your topic could be described by text, graphics, photographs, illustrations etc.
- Posters may be prepared in either English or Kiswahili. There will be special session for posters presentation but all posters will be displayed during the entire Conference period.
- Authors of accepted posters must attend the conference for the poster to be displayed and presented.
- Posters will be displayed in a designated space at the Conference venue. Display panels will be provided. Please bring your printed poster as we are unable to provide printing service.
- Display panels for posters will be ready on 2 June 2020 and all posters should be put up before 10:30 am.
- Personal laptop computers and visual display devices may be used at the poster display area. Should your presentation include a laptop or the use of other electronic devices, please inform us in advance.
- A final abstract for the poster as well as your profile will be published in the Conference programme,on the website.and confernce proceedings
- You will have the opportunity to present your poster to the audience within the conference programme: You will have two minutes for a quick intro – and to attract as much participants as possible to visit your poster at the poster exhibition.

Side events will provide an opportunity for showcasing participants work, during this conference ongoing side events related to the goals, objectives and themes of the conference will be organized to share and disseminate ideas and solutions within our focus areas and expanding our network of contacts. The proposed side events will be directly related to the goals, objectives and themes of the conference. Side events are open to all conference participants to attend.

- Exhibitions will run alongside the conference. Individuals, organizations or groups wishing to participate in exhibitions should submit summaries not exceeding 300 words on the aspect(s) to be displayed or submit the plan would like to showcase. The summary should include: the title, name(s) of exhibitors and a detailed address, background, objectives, function a description, and end-use. There will be exhibition booth with size 3m by 3m and height of 2.56m and more than one booth combination can be booked and pre arranged. - The sponsor will be provided a free standing banner which will be positioned at the entrance to the conference dinner venue, and conference room.
- The sponsor will be provided with an exhibition booth/booths depending on the sponsorship package.
- There will be an opportunity for the sponsors’ representative to give a ten (10) minutes speech each during the key note speech, and dinner.
- The sponsor’s logo will be printed on all conference programs, menus and tickets.
- Complimentary registration will be provided to five (5) participants from the organization.
