Book Title: Block Chain based Security Solutions for Big Data and IoT Applications
A blockchain is, in the simplest of terms, a time-stamped series of immutable records of data that is managed by a cluster of computers not owned by any single entity. Each of these blocks of data (i.e. block) is secured and bound to each other using cryptographic principles (i.e. chain). Blockchain is getting momentum in all the sectors which transact huge numbers in every day. It’s not an understatement to say that blockchain is probably the most disruptive technology in the modern digital economy. It may also be the most controversial. As the most transformative technology in recent history, blockchain will both enable new industrial applications and modernize many antiquated ones. While centralized, highly available systems — from mainframe to modern public or private cloud — power the world’s institutions and have proven ability to cope with millions of transactions, blockchain offers an alternate future. With it comes the promise of decentralization, which raises hopes of democratization and stokes the fears of many monopolized institutions. The next-generation blockchain is potentially a viable platform for security, artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, e-government, and IoT, among many other applications. The primary aim of this book is to present the detailed exploration of adaption and implementation of block chain technologies in the real world business applications. It can be used at Basic and Intermediary Level for Computer Science Postgraduate Students, Researchers and Practitioners. It presents the rapid advancement in the existing business model by applying the blockchain techniques. Novel architectural solutions in the deployment of blockchain are the core aspects of this book. Several use cases with IoT and smart city will also be incorporated. The wide variety in topics it presents offers readers multiple perspectives on a variety of disciplines including number of chapters in the edited book.
Submission Guidelines
This book starts with the range of new concepts in emerging blockchain technology, integration with big data and IoT. It will also introduce new technology gap, business opportunities, future applications, worldwide applicability, challenges and drawbacks respectively. Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before 31st March, 2020, a chapter proposal of 1,000 to 2,000 words clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter. Authors will be notified by 15th April, 2020 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines. Full chapters are expected to be submitted by 30th April, 2020, and all interested authors must consult the guidelines for manuscript submissions. There are no submission or acceptance fees for manuscripts submitted to this book publication, Trust in Knowledge Management and Systems in Organizations. All manuscripts are accepted based on a double-blind peer review editorial process. For manuscripts, we require an e-copy of full chapter submitted in Word on a letter-sized paper with no line numbering, a line spacing of 1.5, Times New Roman 11-point font size, margins top/bottom of 1”, margins left/right of 1.25”, and editable equations using an equation editor in MS-WORD 2010. A typical chapter will include the title, author(s) with affiliation/email/mailing address, introduction, literature review if applicable, theoretical approach if applicable, materials and methods, results and discussion, conclusions, summary, detailed list of keywords, references using numbering system and alphabetical order, any appendix, etc. Also, we prefer a numbering system for citations in the body of a chapter. Tables and figures should be included in the text at right place just after their citation. Specialized chapters need not follow this format.
