Call for Papers
1st Eurasian BIM Forum (EBF 2018)
Embracing the BIM Culture
Today Building Information Modeling (BIM) is becoming a more mature information management methodology and strategy that leads to a change of paradigm in academia and industry. While facilitating several processes in planning, design, construction and management of buildings and facilities, BIM supports the emergence of more sustainable, efficient and feasible projects, products, and buildings. Although the roots of BIM is at an information exchange and sharing paradigm, currently BIM can be interpreted as “a set of technologies for facilitating collaborative design and construction”, “a methodology for management of projects using information-rich digital building models” or “an information management strategy for transforming an enterprise or industry to a leaner one”. From this viewpoint, the Eurasian BIM forum aims to cover a wide range of BIM related topics and stakeholder groups from the academic and industrial perspectives. The aim of the event is bringing together members of the academic community and industry professionals from different disciplines of the AEC industry. The forum will form a platform for exchanging academic and industrial knowledge and experience on the novel developments in BIM tools and technologies and BIM-based information and project management approaches. The focus of the forum is both regional (i.e. covering southwest Europe, Asia and the Middle East) and global (i.e. covering Asia, the Far East and America).

Authors are expected to submit their papers using the EasyChair conference management system (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ebf2019).Paper style should be compatible with the template that can be found at http://www.eurasianbimforum.org/ . All authors are required to submit extended abstracts and final papers. The extended abstracts will be evaluated with a blind peer review process. As a result of the evaluation process, a paper can be accepted as a full paper, a sketch paper. Full Papers will be included as papers in the special issues of International Journal of 3-D Information Modeling (http://www.igi-global.com/ij3dim) and as chapters of a Book that will be published. The Sketch Papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings.
