16th International Conference on Disability, Virtual Reality and Associated Technologies (ICDVRAT)
It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 16th International Conference on Disability, Virtual Reality & Associated Technologies.15–18 September 2026, Aalborg University Copenhagen, Denmark
We invite researchers, clinicians, practitioners, designers, technologists, artists, and students to submit original contributions to ICDVRAT. The conference explores how virtual reality, augmented and mixed reality, and related digital technologies can be designed, sensed, and experienced to support health, rehabilitation, disability inclusion, and human well-being.Topics of interest (but not limited to):
- Virtual, Augmented Reality, and Mixed Reality environments
- Physical rehabilitation
- auditory and visual disabilities
- auditory hallucinations
- Implementation in practice
- Artificial intelligence in healthcare
- personalization and adaptivity.

Submission Guidelines
This year ICDVRAT operates with a two-phase submission model.All authors are invited to submit an extended abstract describing original research, practice-based work, case studies, work-in-progress, or artistic and creative contributions describing e.g., the technical development and purpose of game-based health interventions. Extended abstracts submission will be peer reviewed and, if accepted, will be presented at the conference and included in the conference proceedings.
The extended abstract should be a maximum of 4 pages (including references), and should use the following template in either Word or LaTeX:

Publication
Accepted submissions will each be assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and published open access under the CC-BY-4.0 license in the official ICDVRAT conference proceedings, published by AAU Open Publishing.
