Call for papers

I-RIM announces the sixth edition of the Italian Conference on Robotics and Intelligent Machines. The conference will be held in Rome, Gazometro Ostiense on the following dates: October 17th 2025 - October 19th 2025.The I-RIM conference will highlight the ongoing and upcoming scientific endeavours in the community. It will engage stakeholders by showcasing the latest research findings and emphasizing current trends and technologies.

Participants can contribute to the conference by submitting:

• Extended abstracts (and optional video): The accepted contributions will be presented during the conference poster sessions. Top-rated contributions will be presented during oral sessions.
• Thematic workshops on key topics and research challenges.

Extended Abstracts

Prospective authors are invited to submit a 2-page extended abstract in English in the areas of robotics and intelligent machines, along with an optional video. We accept innovative contributions, position papers, and preliminary results, provided that their originality is well contextualized. Accepted submissions will be collected in the digital conference proceedings, along with the associated optional video. They will be made publicly available (Open Access Gold), digitally indexed (DOI) and citable.

Thematic Workshops

Prospective organizers are invited to submit a 2-page proposal specifying:

• The title, the organizers with affiliations and the format (e.g. for invitations or open forsubmissions)

• The description of objectives and main topics

• The list of speakers, with their affiliations. You are asked to specify whether the speakers are confirmed or to be confirmed.

• The number of expected attendees

• The target audience of the workshop (sector experts, general public)

• Workshop outcomes, possible products, or impacts (e.g., publications, videos, other events). Priority will be given to workshop proposals that include a clear plan to organize a special issue in the months after the conference in a venue relevant to the I-RIM community and focused on the workshop topic.
