Dear Colleagues,
We're delighted to announce our KOMPEGE 2020 (V. International Ege Composite Materials Symposium) organized by Ege University Faculty of Engineering that will take place on November 6-8, 2020 Antalya, Turkey.
The past four events were held in Selçuk (KOMPEGE I – 2011), Kuşadası (KOMPEGE II – 2013 and KOMPEGE III – 2015) and İzmir (KOMPEGE IV – 2018) successively.
KOMPEGE aims to provide a platform to bring together academicians, researchers, industrialists, practitioners and other related experts from home and abroad to share knowledge and experiences, which will promote intellectual and practical development in all fields of Technology, Engineering, and Science.

For the most efficient realization of the scientific Symposium, we kindly invite you to submit your original research works to the International Ege Composite Materials Symposium KOMPEGE 2020. We will be honoured with your participation and contribution to the International Symposium.

Submission Guidelines
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.
First submissions are made with an abstract. Due to academic incentive criteria valid in Turkey, the installation of the full text of the paper is required for registration.
Paper presentations can be made orally or as a poster. A participant can make a maximum of 2 oral presentations with the payment. Third and subsequent presentations are considered as posters.
In conclusion, the following paper categories are welcome:
- Full papers
- Oral Presentations (max 2)
- Posters
Abstracts will be submitted online via the website . Abstracts sent by mail, fax or e-mail will not be evaluated.
- Before submitting your abstract, you can make the necessary corrections on the "Abstract Picker" online submission system. Before submitting, it is recommended that you do the final checking of your abstract carefully. It will not be possible to make changes after submitting.
- To be accepted, the applicant must have paid the congress registration fee.
- The title of the report, the name and surname of the authors, and the institution name should be specified in the abstract.
- The abstract title should be short and should reflect the subject matter. The title should be in uppercase and bold.
- The abstract should be clear in terms of content and scope.
- The original research summary should include introduction, purpose, method, findings, conclusions and keywords.
- The compilation summary should include entry, subject's own headings, results and keywords.
- Introduction, case(s), conclusion and keywords should be included in the summary of the case presentation.
- Abstracts must be written in 350 words.
- International standard abbreviations can be used in the text. If there is a special abbreviation, the full expanse of the abbreviation should be written by opening the parenthesis in the place where it is first used.
- Authors may choose the form of presentation (oral or poster). However, the format of the presentation may be changed by the Scientific Evaluation Committee according to the contents of the abstract.
- Acceptance or rejection of the abstract will be evaluated by the scientific committee of the congress, and corrections may be requested from the writers when it is deemed necessary.
- All correspondence related to the abstract submitted into the system shall be made by the person who submitted to the system.
- After the evaluation of the review committee, the acceptance or rejection of the abstract will be automatically sent to the e-mail address specified in the registration process. The accepted abstracts will also be announced on the web page.
- All abstracts considered as oral or poster presentations will be placed on the congress e-book.

The conference will be held at Aska Lara Resort & Spa, Antalya, Turkey.
General Info
Language of Congress: Language of Symposium is English. Abstracts and full texts of all papers should be submitted in English.
Name badge: The name badge is digital and will be read to the readers in the doorways before the session. Participants also need to wear their badges permanently at the congress centre.
Important Dates: Deadline for Abstract Submission: 15 August 2020, Early Bird Registration: 11 September 2020
Registration Fees: Congress registration can be made before and during the congress in accordance with the details of the fees announced on the website.
Cancellation and Refund Policies: Detailed information about the cancellation and return policy of the Congress is stated on the registration - accommodation pages, and no application other than these will apply.
Participation Certificate: As a congress which aims to protect nature with the theme of "Paper Friendly", attendance certificates will be sent by e-mail after the congress to reduce the use of paper.
Acceptance of Abstracts: Submissions will be made online via the web site. The issues to be considered while submitting are announced on the "Abstract Submission" page. At least one participant is required to register for the congress after the declarations have been accepted.
Poster area: Will be opened during the congress.
Registration and Advisory Desk: The registration and advisory desk will be opened at the Congress Center on November 05 November 2020 and will be open during the entire scientific program.
Invitation letter: An invitation letter will be sent to the participants who have completed their registration. This invitation letter is intended to help only the participants to get permission from the institutions they are affiliated and will not provide any financial support to the participant.
