Delta conferences have been held every two years since 1997 across the Southern Hemisphere in Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Argentina, and Brazil. In 2019 Delta will be coming to Western Australia for the first time.
Delta attracts an international audience of academics interested in mathematics and statistics education, including disciplinary specialists, education theorists, and tertiary education practitioners across the sciences and engineering.
Submission Guidelines
The local organising committee warmly invites you to submit your presentations for the Swan Delta conference that will be held in Fremantle, Western Australia from 24 - 29 November 2019. All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.
General Details About Submission
No paper will be accepted unless at least one author is registered for the conference (see Registration Details).
Each participant will be allowed to make only ONE presentation. However, subject to this condition, participants may be named as a co-author on more than one paper or abstract.
Full papers that were successfully submitted for inclusion in the iJMEST Special Edition, will be published in that issue.
Full papers that were unsuccessful for iJMEST Special Edition inclusion, may be published in the Conference Proceedings along with authors who chose to submit for presentation only at the Conference as well as oral and poster presentations.
Full papers (orals and posters), abstracts (orals and posters) and workshop presentations must be submitted electronically via EasyChair (instructions can be found here) and must use the provided template (Full Paper Template, Abstract Template, Workshop Template) and Formatting Guidelines for full papers and abstracts. NOTE: only Word files will be accepted.
Presentation Types
There will be three types of presentations at the conference:
- Full Paper Presentations (either for publication in the iJMEST Special Edition or for presentation only at the Conference)
- Abstract Only Oral Presentations or Poster Presentations
- Workshop Presentations

- 7 May 2019 Final date for submission of full refereed papers in the special edition of IJMEST
- 30 August 2019 Final date for submission of full papers for the Conference Proceedings (Extended deadline)
- 6 September 2019 Final date for submission of abstract-only presentations (Extended deadline)
- 6 September 2019 Final date for submission of abstracts for posters (Extended deadline)

Venue
The conference will be held at The Esplanade Hotel in Fremantle, Western Australia . Fremantle is a major port city at the mouth of the Swan River. It has a strong historical and cultural link to its harbour and sailing clubs, with the benefits of a vibrant café culture and many open air restaurants. It is blessed with a Mediterranean climate and enviable hours of sunshine to enjoy on local beaches.
