Call for Papers
Szeged Workshop of Discrete Structures (SWORDS 2020)
Szeged, Hungary, May 28th and 29th, 2020.
http://www.domlab.hu/swords2020
Scope and Topics
In the last decades discrete mathematics and computer science have been strongly connected,
which is reflected in the emerging field of theoretical computer science as well as the results
integrated into practical applications. Discrete structures play a central role in the development of
information processing solutions in a diverse field of applications such as industrial optimisation,
image processing, system simulation or scientific computing. On the other hand key questions in
computer science provided the main motivation of numerous research topics for discrete models and
methods.
The scope of the workshop includes topics that are related to discrete structures, such as discrete
mathematics, graph theory, machine learning, combinatorial optimization, big data, artificial
intelligence etc. Presentations from theory and application are both welcome. Research on exact and
approximation algorithms also are in the focus.
