The Technology Enhanced Learning Environments for Blended Education (teleXbe) engages researchers, practitioners, educational developers, entrepreneurs to address current challenges and advances in the field.
Over the past decades, digital technologies have had a massive and pervasive impact on our life at different levels, i.e., leisure time, work, health, and learning. In this scenario, the field of education has had to renovate the whole learning environment. The development of information communication technology (ICT) offers opportunities and benefits in the educational area when blended with traditional approaches to learning/teaching are used jointly. The blended learning model is a possible solution to creating a flexible and adaptable learning environment for students’ preferences and learning needs.
The Workshop is expected to advance a set of scientific knowledge and methodologies of intervention that can be purposefully applied to the design and development of technologies that support the learning process.
This First Edition of teleXbe is free, open to all and early career researchers are encouraged to apply. Indeed, teleXbe aims to promote a community of practice in this field, offering different perspectives from the multidisciplinary field (e.g., computer science, education, psychology).
The First Workshop of Technology Enhanced Learning Environments for Blended Education is organized jointly by the University of Foggia and Smarted.srl. The workshop will be held in Foggia (Italy) on 21-22 January 2020.
**Due to the growing concern around the coronavirus (COVID-19), participants will be allowed to join the conference both in-person and as live virtual event**
Submission Guidelines
The Program Committee requests original papers on the topics of the workshop. Check the terms and conditions for publication. All submitted research contributions must be written in English (UK). Papers are accepted in the following format:
– Regular papers (at least 10 standard pages)
– Short papers (between 5-9 pages, including tables, figures, and references)
All papers must be formatted according to the CEURART style. General information for authors can be found here. The templates (WORD and LaTeX) are available on the workshop website.
All submissions will be peer-reviewed by at least two experts in the field that are part of the Program Committee. Accepted papers will be included in the teleXbe2021 Proceedings. Proceedings shall be submitted to CEUR-WS.org for online publication and indexed on Scopus, Google Scholar, DBLP computer science bibliography, etc.
List of Topics
Appropriate topics in this workshop include (but are not limited to):
- Blended Learning
- Distance Learning
- Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs)
- Hybrid environment
- High-quality Learning Environments
- Teaching, Learning, and Assessment strategies and practices
- Technology-enhanced Learning
- Artificial Intelligence in education
- Educational technology (serious games, virtual reality applications)
- Tangible User Interface (TUI)
