As part of the IEEE World Forum on Public Safety Technology this workshop brings together researchers, public safety practitioners, industry professionals, and government stakeholders for a half-day workshop on the design, evaluation, and deployment of XR technologies for safety-critical operations. Topics of interest include human-centered XR systems for training, situational awareness, and emergency response. Submission Guidelines
Submissions must be 2-4 pages (not including references) in VGTC format. We are accepting the following types of submissions
- Position papers about the current state or future of XR in public safety
- Design provocations, including application of existing XR research to public safety use cases
- Works in progress and early findings
- Novel systems, prototypes or techniques targeting public safety
- For all submission types, working prototypes and interactive demonstrations of XR technology are welcome and encouraged
