Abstract

Wireless Sensor Networks (RCSFs) have become very common in recent years and their applications are growing considerably. These networks are made up of miniature wireless devices that have limited computing power and storage capacity. Also, often, they carry a battery as the only source of energy. In addition, these networks can be deployed in hostile environments without surveillance. This situation poses security challenges. Limited hardware resources make it impossible to apply traditional security mechanisms to the CWHC paradigm. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze and better understand the security requirements of these networks in order to better adapt the existing solutions. In this paper, we present different types of attacks that threaten the security of communication with wireless sensor networks. We also analyze existing solutions to deal with these attacks and the mechanisms used. We present as a perspective the use of SDN technology for securing communications in these networks.
