Abstract

This paper aims to demonstrate the way in which the communication between the Siemens programmable automaton LOGO! 12/24 RCE and the software for design of human machine interfaces Wonderware InTouch, taking as an example the simulation of tank level control for its practicality and process dynamics. The KEPserverEX software, which is an OPC server, makes it very easy to perform the communication between the native protocol and the OPC client (InTouch) with the intent of achieving the link to establish the necessary communication in the supervision and control application.
