Contribution of Lean Construction in the Working Life of Design of Pre-Molded Concrete Structures in Industrial Buildings

Abstract

The use and use of precast reinforced concrete structures in industrial buildings has grown in
recent years, with the appearance of new buildings, as well as the maintenance of existing
buildings, seeking to improve the useful life and durability of the project. For a better
optimization of the processes, the contribution of Lean Construction is used, in the useful life of
the project in these buildings, in the reduction of losses and waste, in the processes of design,
production, assembly, and preventive and corrective maintenance, in the pre- reinforced
concrete. These processes can present pathological manifestations, where the respective
anomalies are raised, through on-site inspections and investigations, for later diagnosis and
definition of technical solutions for corrections and repairs. The article aims to identify waste in
a process of execution of precast reinforced concrete structures in industrial buildings, from a value flow mapping, in a specific case study, from the stage of investigations of pathological
manifestations, as well as, the preparation and execution of the test of extraction and rupture
of testimonies of concrete structures
