Abstract

Mathematical models of bearing systems of multi-storey buildings, in most cases, are guided by the elastic work of the bearing elements and the connections connecting them. At the same time, they do not allow sufficient use of the safety margins of the entire supporting system or can distort the assessment of the real state of this building's supporting system, as the system of work in buildings of low height is clear and can be calculated using the mathematical systems that have been reached previously and now. The reason for this is that in such type of buildings their vertical stiffness is relatively large with their horizontal area, and therefore the work of the elements of these structures is limited to the stage Elasticity (linear deformations). In the case of tall buildings (multi-storey buildings), their rigidity is relatively low with their horizontal area, and therefore considering that stress and deformations in such type of buildings are flexible deformations only, this will lead to calculations far from the actual work and performance of these structures, from Here comes the importance of the nonlinear study of tall buildings. In the case of buildings that contain shear walls, the horizontal elements (shear bonds) that connect these walls will form the deformability shear bonds, due to their small stiffness compared to the stiffness of the shear walls that they are connected to.

The purpose of the presented work is to study and know the true behavior of shear bonds and how important this is in changing the distribution of stresses and deformations in the elements of origin and to compare the large difference in these stresses in the event that only the linear study of shear connections.
