Improvement Actions Related to the Durability of Armed Concrete Structures in Cuba. Case Study in Development.

Abstract

Socialize the main actions and results in the theoretical - practical order achieved in Cuba, about the durability of reinforced concrete structures. In the practical order, data obtained in the 2015-18 period are presented, of concretes placed in Havana works, where technical-commercial litigation originated, in terms of the quality achieved by this material, showing the range of the identified deviations , regarding the qualities agreed and current regulations. The directions in which it is necessary to continue improving are indicated, in order to achieve the qualitative and quantitative leap that is required in the analyzed topic and thus contribute to reaching the expected standards of sustainable development in the country.
