Overview of the Economic Complementation Agreement - N ° 74 (Ace-74) on the Trade in Automotive Products Between Brazil and Paraguay

Abstract

International relations are gaining importance, in a globalized world, in which the establishment of military, technological and, mainly, commercial partnerships are on the agenda of the governments of all countries. MERCOSUR has sought to consolidate its trade policies in order to stimulate intra-block trade and help its member countries to maintain GDP growth. Brazil is the country that surpasses the flow of potential trade, with a surplus both in numbers of exporters and importers. In this research, the objective is to describe the implementation of the trade agreement between Brazil in order to provide information of interest about its participation in the integration process to promote liberalization and the regulation of international trade. The studies contain specific information on the Origin benefits granted by the contract, as well as the tariff preference margins practiced.

Some of the themes worked to be mentioned are: analysis of the agreement, trade flows, products sold, opportunities for expansion and diversification of exports, situation of preferences.
