Demand forecasting and aggregate planning in auto parts production

Abstract

This paper presents the curent scenario of an industry of production of automotive spare parts which has faced problems in managing its production, such as: order delivery delays, excessive costs in the purchase of material resources and spending on over time work without planning. The challenge applied to this study is related to the search for techniques for the best use of existing data, and also knowing the production need to meet their requests efficiently. So, it was possible to find solutions by forecasting techniques demand and aggregate planning in controlling the item production of higher production demand.
