Abstract

Smart farming is an opportunity for cultivation, as it promises to modernize how farmers deal with their soil and resources with new technologies i.e. IoT, cloud computing, and big data. Smart farming refers to managing farms using new Information and communication technologies to raise the magnitude and excellence of crops while optimizing the human work required. The smart farming system uses IoT skills. The Internet of Things (IoT) describes a kind of network that interconnects different devices with the help of the Internet. IoT technology allows farmers to assemble data, monitor crops, and optimize their operations in real-time. Agriculture implements IoT through the use of robots, drones, sensors, and computer imaging incorporated with systematic tools for receiving insights and checking the farms. IoT works in diverse domains of farming to recover time competence, water managing, crop monitoring, soil managing, and control of insecticides and pesticides. In Smart farming, the cloud is loaded with some basic dimensions which will then be compared with the sensed data. Cloud-connected wireless sensors collect data from the ground, which is then analyzed by machine learning algorithms in real-time to give farmers a better thought of how their crops are doing. Big data provides farmers with grainy data on rainfall patterns, water cycles, fertilizer supplies, and more. This enables them to make smart decisions, such as what crops to plant for enhanced fertility and when to crop. Smart farming uses efficient methods like IoT, Cloud Computing, and Big Data based skills to control and handle farming yields. It includes the procedure of Geo locations, GPS tracking, sensors, and drones to watch the fields, and crops and forecast the soil dampness stage and humidity so that the irrigation method can be monitored and restricted.
