Abstract

The original goal of games has been changed a lot through social media, especially the short video sharing platform. Meme culture plays a crucial role in promoting the gameplay. This research will find different angles on design perspective, trying to figure out the relationship between the meme culture and the game rules with the example of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Douyin, and how the meme culture put the effect on the design process.
